Bob Elkins - Site Memorial Online

  Where do you began to tell the life story of such an extraordinary man as Pastor Bob Elkins. He was born in Pike county Kentucky on December 27, 1926 to the late Rail and Lydia Elkins. He had 2 brothers (Rufus and Dave ) and 1 sister Lorene (Dutch) Street. Skipping on through the pages of time he meets Sis. Barbara Elkins and then they became man and wife.

   Bro Bob & Sis Barbara Elkins were blessed with a family of  7 children ( Columbia Chafin  , Pearl Chafin Evans , Lucille Chafin Church , Ballard (Esaw) Chafin  , Bobie Chafin , Dewey Chafin , and Lydia Elkins Hollins). Bob and Barbara Elkins were devoted saints of God who stood for the Lord Jesus and the word of the Lord. The bible says to train up a child in the way they should go and when they are old they will no part from it. Both Bob and Barbara Elkins taught there children and anyone who was blessed to have a space in there lives the Holiness way of life and the signs of the gospel.

   Rev Bob Elkins' road in life led him to become the Pastor of "The Church of The Lord Jesus" in Jolo WVa. Which is the most well known church in the coutry for the belief and practice of the signs of the gospel. The signs of the gospel can be found in the last chapter of Mark beginning around the 15th verse. Pastor Elkins pastored the Church of The Lord Jesus for 50 yrs (approx.).  He was a faithful , loving , honest , sincere man of God. He stood for the word of God just like the bible said and never waivered for anyone. His life is an example to live by. He is a man of great Faith . He welcomed anyone and everyone to the services all he asked was people live good. He helped multitudes of people with there spiritual walk in life and taught everyone to the best of his knowledge the true genuine word of God.

  Pastor Bob maybe gone from our earthly presence , but his life has just begun. He now has reach the goal that he has been pressing for so many years. He has fought the good fight of faith and henceforth he's received his crown of life. Hes resting now from all the toils and now lives in peace and joy with the Lord and all the saints who he gone on before him.
